God’s Instructions

One of the greatest errors we as Christians make is to believe that God’s instructions are just for those who are in the Church. Can I tell you that God’s instructions are absolute not only for those who are Christians but also for those who may not even believe in God. When we fail to see God as having the authority to instruct the everyday lives of His creation on how they should live and think we can fall into the trap of allowing others to view our Bible based convictions as our opinions rather than as God’s edicts. We owe it to those we are in contact with to know what God says about life and how they can enjoy it to its fullest.

In Isaiah 45:1—7 God states that He is working in the life of His creation to put Cyrus in power and to magnificently use him for His purpose even “though you have not known Me” (Isaiah 45: 4, 5). God’s reason for doing this? He states that it is so that every living person will realize that Yahweh exists and that He is in charge:

That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun
That there is no one besides Me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other,
The One forming light and creating darkness,
Causing well-being and creating calamity;
I am the LORD who does all these.

So, realize that when you take a position in a conversation that may not be popular but is clearly Bible-based that you are letting God have a say. Who knows how He may use your words in this world He created to change a life for eternity.
